Change may be for Good – Saturday October 1908

Heavy rain till mid forenoon then a big wind rises and scatters the clouds on our spirits as the blue sky appears. Who knows but the change may be for good. The air has a nip in it and there is wind and intermittent sunshine. The girls bring in a can full of brambles and many cakes are baked for the coming week.

Sunday is a day of perfect sunshine. The sea is like glass and the low Scottish hills never looked more lovely. Sure, surely, they are not too clear.
